چکیده

In order to guarantee perpendicularity of rotary cast-in-place pile in Karst areas, filling, like sand, etc., is commonly used between the inner steel casing and outer sleeve; while sleeve pulled out or a vertical load applied on top pile, sand will move, contact, push against each other, which leads recrushing; therefore, shear characteristics secondary breakage are meaningful problem study with regard influence different densities. Through experimental direct tests, dry densities, stress versus displacement curves obtained internal friction angles analyzed. The results show that increase along increment densities; more interesting ratio also increases. A comparative numerical 2D model set up using PFC2D, lower porosity simulate large density, similar obtained, say, increase.

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

Experimental and Numerical Study of Perforated Steel Plate Shear Panels

Thin perforated Steel Plate Shear (SPS) Walls are among the most common types of energy dissipating systems. The applied holes reduce the shear strength of the plate and allow to decrease the profile size of the members at the boundary of the panel when these systems are used in the typical design of structures. On the other hand, the different fracture locations of these panels are visible whe...

An experimental and numerical study on the bearing capacity of circular and ring footings on rehabilitated sand slopes with geogrid

This paper presents the results of a series of small-scale model tests and numerical analyses conducted on circular and ring model footings located near geogrid reinforced sand slopes. Layers of geogrid were used as reinforcement. For numerical analyses Finite Element Method (FEM) was used. The effects of reinforcement depth, size, number of layers, and the horizontal distance between reinforce...

Experimental and Numerical Study of Tension Bearing Capacity of Circular Skirted Foundations Resting on Sand Bed

Skirted foundations are an appropriate alternative to deep foundations in onshore and offshore structures, which have the ability to withstand uplift loads, are also easy to be installed. The tensile performance of skirted foundations on sand was studied by physical and numerical modeling. Laboratory tests were carried out on small-scale foundation models with peripheral skirts. Numerical model...
